BJUP, an organization deeply committed to advancing health and WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) equity, particularly for marginalized communities, adopts a comprehensive and multifaceted approach to achieve its mission.

At the core of our efforts is the belief that every individual deserves equal access to essential healthcare services as well as safe water, sanitation, and hygiene facilities. This unwavering commitment to equity guides all our initiatives.

Our work in the health and WASH sectors spans a wide range of interventions, including:

  • Expanding resources and infrastructure
  • Raising awareness at the community level
  • Building local capacity
  • Advocating for strong governance in public health systems

These initiatives particularly focus on Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, and Adolescent Health (RMNCH+A), as well as HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment.

Furthermore, BJUP is dedicated to reducing illness and preventing fatalities through comprehensive awareness campaigns, impactful Behavior Change Communication (BCC) programs, and education initiatives. Special emphasis is placed on promoting women’s health, hygiene, and nutrition, recognizing the disproportionate challenges women and girls face in these areas.

Additionally, BJUP recognizes the critical importance of menstrual hygiene and works to improve practices by strengthening the supply chain of sanitary pads while fostering greater community awareness and demand. By addressing this often-overlooked issue, we aim to break taboos, empower women and girls, and promote healthier, more dignified lives.

Our overarching objective is to build sustainable communities in WASH and health. This commitment is reflected in a broad spectrum of activities, including:

  • Effective waste management
  • Water quality monitoring to ensure safe drinking water
  • Infrastructure development for lasting impact
  • Awareness campaigns to shift behaviors
  • Policy advocacy to strengthen systems and practices

In essence, BJUP’s approach is comprehensive and forward-looking. We not only address immediate health and sanitation needs but also work tirelessly toward long-term sustainability and equity in access to vital services for all.

Over the years, we have positively impacted the lives of more than 10,000 individuals through our Health and WASH programs. With your support, we can expand these efforts, reaching even more children, women, and vulnerable communities in need.

Join us in this journey—together, we can bring healthier futures and smiles to countless lives.
